Persona:
Orphan born approximately 1242 AD in Morocco to a merchant and his wife. My mother did not survive childbirth, and I do not know what became of my father. I was taken in by another merchant family from a young age and continue to serve their estate. I was recently wed to a traveling Venetian Merchant and have joined him on his travels.
Personal Statement:
I am no stranger to volunteering, and taking on a challenge in life. I am excited about being part of the growth I am seeing within the SCA. In my time with the SCA, I have spent many an event volunteering, and continue to take on even more within An Tir. I have recently been re-bitten by the performer bug, and have started performing with An Tir’s I’Falsari Troupe, and am slowly beginning to perform on cello again.
Modern Life
In mundane life – I’m an administrator for a law firm. This is a heavily accounting involved position. I came into this line of work from being a bookkeeper, so have been handling financials for companies for about 15 years now, and have taken on more and more administrative duties throughout the years, so have a lot of useful admin skills. Part of what makes me an asset in my professional life is my ability to learn and utilize newer tech solutions, such as the Google Workspace offerings. I have brought a lot of these skills into my work as the Baronial Exchequer and Event Steward for Aquaterra, and hope to be able to spread my knowledge in these areas further throughout the Kingdom. Outside of work and the SCA, a lot of my free time is spent at karaoke bars. I am an avid vocalist, and am working on getting back into playing my cello, glass flute, and other instruments.
